| An unusual and scarce sterling silver reliquary pendant locket with fine basse taille enamelling c1900. This 1-1/4" x 7/8" purse style locket features a small chain for wear suspended from a chatelaine or bracelet and it features turquoise or robin's-egg blue enamel on one side (the other is unenamelled and is embossed). It has a snap-on style safety catch and it is stamped STERLING on the interior. These were sometimes used to hold relics or miniature rosaries, and would work also as asmall pill box, and this fine example is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. All items are used and slight signs of gentle use should be expected.
