A Keuffel & Esser 42" paragon beam compass drafting tool in its case. This high quality German drafting tool comes in its original fitted plush lined black wrapped 17-1/2" long case which has two sliding locking plungers and a silver K+E stamp on the lid. This set includes: a company stamped bottom, a middle extension and a top extension complete with a sliding double scribe or pencil holder, an adjustable pointed holder end, a needle end, a pencil lead holder/end, a pointed scribe/point end and a lidded lead case containing a red marking lead, two graphite marking leads and two fine point double ended scribes/pivots. This fine precision drafting tool is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than a bit of dulling to the rod components. The adjustments and sliding components move freely and are in excellent condition. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use.
