A Birks sterling marcasites brooch and earrings set from around 1930. This fine, vintage set was sold by Birks, Canada's leading retailer of fine goods. The brooch measures 2-3/8" x 1-5/8", it is laden with glinting graduated marcasites (or marquisites ), it has a safety catch, and it has a superb curled design with great appeal. The screwback earrings measure 7/8" x 3/4" and they have assorted sizes of marcasites and a floral style. All pieces are in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, dents, monograms, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. This item is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use.
