A vintage late Victorian 14k yellow gold 56" watch chain with a hand engraved slide with opal. This chain has a gold swivel, and the 1/2" x 3/8" slide has a colourful and fiery opal with bright greens, blues and orange. It has a 14K mark on one link, and it weighs an impressive 29.2 grams (approximately 1 ounce). This item is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, scrapes, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs; it has a shallow WLB monogram on the back of the slide. A classy, unsigned Victorian period rolled rose gold plate chatelaine watch pin c1890. This 1-1/8" x 3/4" pin has a nice openwork design, it closes with an early safety catch, and it has a long hook for the suspension of a pocket watch. It has a planchette for a monogram, and most unusual, this one has never been initialled. This item is in excellent original condition with no scrapes, dents, monograms, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. This hanky has whimsically drawn coloured birds, lamb, squirrel, snail, mouse and a child cuddling a lamb, with the legend WEDNESDAY. A vintage 8" x 8" pure silk printed child's handkerchief depicting British Beefeater guards, airplanes, and a boy with a gun. It is unsigned, and the figures include two marching guards, a bugler, drummer, parade leader with sword, a shooting boy in shorts, and two airplanes. This World War I vintage hanky is in very good original condition with no losses, damage or repairs other than a small 1/4 x 1/8" tear, three staple holes, one tiny hole at the edge and a small dime-sized light stain. A large gilt brass highly embossed powder box c1900. This box measures 4-5/8" across and it stands 1-5/8" high; they were made to commemorate and early 1900s World's Fair (St. Louis?). This one includes the original clear glass liner, interior gilding, and the original mirror in the lid. It is unsigned, and we have seen these with paper tags stating their World's Fair origins (the tag is missing on this one). This dresser or vanity item is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, scrapes, dents, monograms, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs; the gilding is intact except for the very bottom at the rim, and the mirror has only slight speckling of the silvering. An ornate high relief gilt brass Victorian Revival necklace c1930s. This 16" necklace has a snapover catch, and the dangly pendant area measures 3" long and 2" wide. It is unsigned, and it is in very good original condition with no scrapes, dents, monograms, bends, losses, damage or repairs other than some wear to the gilding on the chain and some gold loss and minor discolouration to the top of the large pendant; there is an area of red nail polish on the back of one dangle which we haven't removed. A vintage Eastern Canada round covered sweetgrass and wood splint basket with colour decoration c1900. This 7-1/2" diameter and 3-1/4" high Mi'kmaq / Micmac or Penobscot basket has a twisted rope-style construction, and it retains bright dyed colours of the bottom and interior, in blue, red and orange. This basket, which was almost surely sold as a sewing basket originally, is in very good original condition with no breaks, cracks, material losses, damage or repairs other than the fading of the colours on the top of the lid. This beautiful 52" x 26" table runner features flowers and phoenix birds, and the colours include blue, red, gold, lilac and silver. The verso design itself is also quite attractive, with black, lilac and green.
