A superb and evocative 1-5/8 x 1-3/8" mid-Victorian mourning pin in 14k yellow gold (unmarked but tested). This pin features a carved pink coral hand with black enamel bands on its sleeve, holding a wreath of flowers and leaves. There are seed pearls in the flower centers and there is a claw-set pearl in the center. It has a reeded edge and a c-clasp which has been added a bit later for wear as a brooch; originally it would have been a pendant and a small loop remains at the top. It is unsigned, it weighs 10.2 grams, and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some wear to the central pearl and the addition of the pin. A sterling silver and guilloche pink enamel 2 piece nail buffer from the 1920s. This fine quality fully hallmarked Art Deco period sterling silver nail buffer has beautiful rose pink guilloche enamel decoration. It is fully hallmarked for Birmingham, England 1925-6, this buffer measures 6" x 1-5/8" and it stands 2-3/8" high. The top features a blue plain enamel interior and the enamel covers the top and the bottom's sides. It has the maker's mark for Charles S. Green & Co., it weighs 146 grams, and it is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a small impact under the bottom's lip (see pic) and a similar small chip on the bottom corner. Please note that there is no filled chamois section for use on the nails. A beautifully decorated 6-1/2" tall unmarked Japanese Satsuma type teapot c1880-90. this teapot features lush hand painted gold and enamel with jewelling, somewhat reminiscent of a carpet; the gold is richly applied and the colours are bright and impressive. This item is in excellent antique condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, losses, damage or repairs other than a bit of gold wear on the handle and the edge of the lid. An outstanding Art Deco sterling silver enamel and marcasites pendant necklace circa 1930. The pendant itslf measures 2" x 1" (including enamelled bale loop). It features colorful matte enamel in of geometric flowers in lilac, yellow, orange, lime green, blue and black with various sizes of marquisites. Please note that the colors may appear several shades brighter in our pictures than they are in real life, and the blue is a light royal blue, not turquoise. It is stamped EN in a kidney-shaped cartouche and STERLING on the back - we are still researching the maker. it weighs 7.5 grams (pendant only). We were unable to find any corresponding information about this mark, at first glance it looks very much like a piece produced by the Theodor Farhner firm, who were well known for such fine matte enamel finishes and the extensive use of marquisites. It is shown with a very recent sterling silver chain which is not included. This item is in good condition with no cracks, dents, bends, corrosion or repairs other than a visible loss to the red-orange enamel and a couple of very short surface abrasions to the blue (just visible with a loupe). Silver and silver plated items are hand-polished, not buffed, and our halogens and magnified images may exaggerate otherwise barely noticeable scratches and flaws. A Regency period rolled gold plate mourning locket with enamel c1835. This 1-5/16" locket features an engine turned design on each side, a watch-style bale for hanging from a chain, pin or chatelaine, and it has a removable central compartment for hair or a memento. The front is hinged and swings out to reveal the contents, which are under bevelled glass (a curl of brown hair and woven black fabric). It has a hand-engraved dedication saying: "IN MEMORY OF Margaret Maclachlin Jane Magregor Died 1839. Dugalt Maclachlin Died 21st April 1849." This pendant has blue enamelling, and it is in very good original condition with no dents, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some shallow denting to the panels, some tiny enamel losses and the smashing of the glass insert. A Chinese free form cloisonne enamel on brass smoking set circa 1900. This set consists of the cigarette box, the matchbox holder and the ashtray c1900-20. This pretty set has thickly applied enamel depicting birds and trees, and it consists of the 3-3/8" diameter ashtray, the 3-3/4" x 3-1/8" hinge-lid cigarette box with internal white enamel, and the 2-3/8" x 1-5/8" matchbox holder with vintage matchbox and contents. The box is stamped CHINA, and this set is in very good original condition with no cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some corrosion to the ashtray's enamel and minor enamel losses to the enamel showing brass in the box (small interior chip) and on the back of the ashtray (two chipped areas). A Norway sterling silver and blue enamel brooch circa 1960s by Einar Modahl of Oslo. This attractive vintage modern 2-1/8" x 1-5/8" pin is a lovely royal hue. This Norwegian abstract double leaf is marked 925 S with the Einar Modahl maker's mark and an N in a square and STERLING NORWAY. The light colour or mauvish spots are artifacts of the photography and light reflections, the enamel is smooth and even with no damage. It has a modified catch which is now a c-clasp (no locking wheel), and it weighs 11.2 grams. A jeweler could add a locking wheel back to clasp. This item is in otherwise excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than the modification to the clasp.
