It has various calipers and adjustments with two glass levels, a lens cap and various mirrors and lenses and adjustments. It has a serial number V031546, and the wood box has fittings for various accessories and it includes a wrench. It has a metal Hughes-Ownes Co. Ltd. Canada label and a stamped retailer's mark on the lid's interior. The mahogany box has brass screws and fittings and a leather handle; the original lock is still present. This item is in very good original condition with the following condition issues: scrapes and wear to the box and paint loss to painted clasps, loss of two prongs on lock, minor dryness to leather, crack with liquid loss and fogging to one level under sighting mirror, crushing of small optic lens next to main sighting lens, minor touches of wear to paint. Overall this instrument is in easily restorable condition and all pivots and adjustments move freely.
