A large pair of Italian art pottery 15" poodle figures c1950s. These ceramic decorations feature extruded fur, hand painted eyes and noses and a red painted bow on their necks. They are marked 180 ITALY and they have dedications pencilled on the bottoms ("Brigite Bon Bon Christmas 1959" and Pierre Pom Pom Christmas 1959"). This pair is in very good original condition with no cracks, crazing, damage or repairs other than 4 small losses to the curls and a chip on the bow on one figure (which also has a reglued curl) and 6 chips/losses on the other (the damage doesn't detract from the appeal of the figures). All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use.
