A fine copy of the "Plants of the Niagara Parks System of Ontario" by George H. Hamilton, a botanical hardback study commissioned by the Niagara Parks Commission in 1943. This 233 page green cloth bound hardcover 10-5/8" x 7-1/4" book is inscribed and dated by the author (1944), and it includes an exhaustive compendium of native Niagara plants and trees, with black and white photographs of each; there are a few one-sided full colour plates as well. Printed by Ryerson Press, Toronto, this book is in excellent condition with no repairs or damage other than a bit of residue from an old sticker on the front upper right corner of the cover, and some very minor dulling where a liquid has been spilled on the cover in the past (slight loss of sheen only). A great reference book in superlative original condition. Shipping is $8 (to the US - other spots may vary) - insured is higher. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US.ok

A beautiful jewellery catalogue issued c1947 by Jablonec, of Czechoslovakia. Jablonec is a town in Czechoslovakia, home to many costume jewellery manufacturers and suppliers. This catalogue is in English and highlights many shops and suppliers, including Klaar, Krause and many others. The 11-3/4" x 8-3/8" book has approximately 50 pages- there are monochrome pages (red and green), with a colour cover and onionskin paper-covered full colour photo illustration pages and a two colour Thiel & Rhode back cover. A must for any costume jewellery collector or scholar, this book lists the Czech products and companies from this era and would be invaluable for identification of makers and pieces, as well as a nice addition to any collection. This catalogue includes a business card from a Toronto importer, and it is in very good condition with no losses, writing, repairs or damage other than some tearing of the spine and a slight bit of soiling of the front cover. All leaves are excellent and intact and the graphics remain bright, colourful and strong. Shipping is $4.50 (to the US - other spots may vary) - insured is higher. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US.
