A large pair of pressed amber clip-on earrings signed by Monies of Denmark, and designed by Gerda Lynggaard Monies and Nikolai Monies. These 1-7/8" x 1-5/8" earrings have gold plated backs and the amber has specks, grit and (induced) cleave lines. Pressed amber is actual amber, but has been heated and formed, sometimes with bits of frit, etc added. The amber pieces have been additionally heated to add cleave lines or fissures, to give it a more natural appearance. The back of the clip is stamped Monies. This pair is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use. Surface shipping to the continental U.S. starts at $6.25 (other spots may vary) - insured is higher, and mandatory on items over $95 if paid with a credit card. A size 9 sterling classic style Irish Claddagh ring with an open crown. This ring measures 3/4 x 1/2" across the central design, and it has some obscured hallmarks; it is in excellent original condition with no scrapes, dents, monograms, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs.
