A rare and exotic authentic period Art Deco gilt brass and purple glass bead mesh head covering or skullcap hat c1920s. This unusual and fabulous fashion accessory would have been the height of fashion at a speakeasy or dance club; it consists of large gilt brass loops, gold plated chains and purple glass beads. It is unsigned and it measures 13" long when suspended from the central loop and 11-1/2" across the chain mail. This item is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use. A great genuine vintage Art Deco 1920s rouge compact by the famous designer Richard Hudnut. This 1-5/8" chrome plated hinged compact is marked MARVELOUS RICHARD HUDNUT DISTRIBUTOR NEW YORK PARIS MADE IN U.S.A., it has the original powder puff, mirror and some rouge. This item is in excellent original condition with no scrapes, dents, monograms, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a bit of clouding to the mirror silver, the loss of the gold lettering on the puff (traces remain) and some minor patina on the exterior from use (exaggerated by our halogens in the pictures). All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use. A stylish Retro fully glass beaded purse c1950s-60. This 7-1/2" x 5" completely glass beaded purse has a gold plated frame with large rhinestones on the clasp and silver coloured mesh handle; it has fine metallic glass beads in gunmetal gray, gold, copper and silver on a white bead ground. It has the original silky lining and Du-Val Hong Kong tag, and it appears unused. Really stunning - it will go with anything. Please note that the flash has washed the colours out a little bit. The bag is clean, no musty smell, and came from a smoke-free spot. This item is in excellent original condition with no breaks, stains, spotting, losses, damage or repairs. A splendid c1910-20 fringed beaded purse, made in France. This 4-3/4 x 3-3/4" purse has additional 1-1/2" fringe and a beaded 12" strap-style handle. It also has a fine gilt glass button and its original Made In France tag sewn on to its original moire lining. This item is in very fine original condition with no damage or repairs other than the possible loss of the extreme left hand strand of fringe and some looseness of the threading around the button hole. This is a chromed metal powder jar c1920s-30s which contained Jasmine of Southern France powder, made by Lorie Perfumers. The round box (flat topped one is sold) is a round hinged egg-style all metal container. It is marked LORIE PERFUMERS TORONTO BOSTON NOTTINGHAM and Made in Canada. It is 3-1/4" diameter, has a gilded interior and flat base. There are 4 very shallow dents in the box. It is otherwise in excellent shape - it would make a nifty small jewel box or display - with no cracks, scrapes, monograms, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs except as noted above.
