A 2-5/8" diameter engraved sterling silver signed Birks powder compact c1940s. This vanity item features fine floreate engraving on one side with an ANN 11/3/45 dedication. It is stamped BIRKS STERLING on the back, it weighs 55.0 grams, and it is in very good original condition with no bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some wear to the puff, caking of the powder screen, some very minor spotting to the mirror and a few shallow dents on the plain side. We can remove the remaining powder if you wish. A fine quality vintage sterling round hand engraved compact made by Birks, Canada's premier retailer of finery c1930s. This 2-1/2" diameter compact has fine engraving on the top side with no monogram, and it retains its original puff and powder screen (and a bit of powder, which we will clean out if you wish). The mirror is clear and unspotted, and this item is in excellent original condition with no scrapes, monograms, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a couple of tiny shallow dents on the undecorated back, a shallow dent on the top, and some minor soiling to the puff.
