A wild vintage early 1950s haute couture fashion bandeau hat in genuine branch coral and celluloid. This hat measures 11-3/4" around the exterior and 6-3/4" at its widest; it has internal flexible wire structure to hold it to your head. It was made by the famous Bes-Ben company of Chicago which was known for their outre hat styles, many of which were purchased by the top entertainers and stars of the day (and at top-market prices for the time). This hat features celluloid beads and molded flowers hand-sewn with real pieces of authentic branch coral; it is in excellent original condition with no major losses or damage other than some thread traces visible on the front from a clumsy older stitch repair with brown rather than the original coral thread (see image) - this can be re-done/restitched quite successfully if you have coral coloured thread, as it just needs to be restitched to the coral coloured mesh. All
items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use. Surface shipping to the continental U.S. starts at $8.50 (other spots may vary) - insured is higher, and mandatory on items over $85 if paid with a credit card. Items paid with a credit card will be shipped to confirmed addresses only. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US. NOTE: we DO NOT accept PayPal.

A vintage yard long advertising framed picture of a beautiful woman with pink roses on the front, with a Pabst Extract tonic advertisement on the back c1915-16. Popular in the 1900-30 era, yard-long prints were used to advertise drink, food, medicine and cosmetics and the advertising sides were usually very nicely illustrated with calendars or illustrations. The picture side was usually hung as art prints, often portraying attractive women. This example is from c1915 and it advertises the Pabst Brewing Co.'s tonic with ad copy and green ink graphics. Condition is good, with some trimming (about 1" off the top and some off the bottom, leaving a print measuring 23-3/4" x 7-1/4". The bottom section were sometimes trimmed if they had a space for the advertiser, as we believe this advertising print originally did. There is some browning and minor water staining along with some light creases and minor losses or bites to the paper edge as well as an old ink inscription. The highly coloured lady side is visually clear of these faults except for a crease just above her hand (most of the flaws are visible on the mostly plain advertising side). The 24-3/4" x 8" frame is in good shape with minor scrapes (can be touched up). We haven't identified the image, artist or age of this advertising print but a segment of *RY remains of a signature at the bottom. This item is in good original condition with the condition issues noted above. All
items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use. Surface shipping to the continental U.S. starts at $19 (other spots may vary) - insured is higher, and mandatory on items over $85 if paid with a credit card. Unusual, vintage, Canadian and, amazingly, still full c1940s-50. This is an original green glass 6 ounce 6-5/8" bottle of the long-defunct Canada Dry Ginger Beer with the original litho cap and paper labels. The bottle has the following molded into the design: NO DEPOSIT * NO RETURN NI DEPOT * 6 FL. OZ. on the shoulder, 17 plus some symbols around the foot and NOT TO BE REFILLED A NE PAS REMPLIR on the bottom. The cap says CANADA DRY LIMITED H.O. TORONTO, CANADA SODIUM BENZOATE ADDED. Although slightly clouded, the original contents are present with no losses to the fluid level over the last 55-65 years or so (we recommend lots of ice and up-to-date insurance if you're contemplating trying it). This item is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than some greasy areas to the collar label and cap and a couple of minor tears to the lower label. All graphics are strong and intact, and all items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use. Surface shipping to the continental U.S. starts at $8 (other spots may vary) - insured is higher, and mandatory on items over $85 if paid with a credit card. A vintage 6-1/2 x 4" and 7-1/2" high rectangular Ocean Blend Indian & Ceylon Tea tin with a deep teal blue background and superb graphics of a steamship. This Canadian (Toronto and Peterboro (sic)) tin was manufactured by Macdonald Mfg. Co. Limited Toronto; we haven't seen one with the blue colour before. This excellent advertising piece is in very good original condition with the following condition notes: one panel and one side excellent graphics and colour with minor spotting and scrapes, one side panel scrapes to paint below TEA, other side panel spots of wear and stains/residue from masking tape (not removed), surface scraping and loss of surface to lid, small dent to edge at one side panel, and splits to rear of lid at the hinges (from surface to hinge). Otherwise this is a nice, clean presentable example. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use.
