A fine late Victorian period 14k yellow gold 2-1/4" long antique stickpin or tie pin c1890-1900. The cross section of the pin measures 1/2" x 3/8", and it is set with 5 genuine seed pearls. It is stamped 14k with a maker's mark on the back, and the whole pin is 14K, not just the top section. It weighs 0.9 grams and it is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, scrapes, dents, monograms, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use. A large, heavy and superb 19th century stickpin in 14k yellow gold, with a 40 point purplish pink rhodolite garnet and enamelling c1870-80. The garnet is claw-set in an incised star and surrounded by an enamelled six-pointed star in cobalt enamel (more purple than in our photographs). The twisted-shaft pin measures 2-3/4" long and the head of this stickpin measures 5/8" across. It weighs an impressive 6.4 grams and the stone has been checked by a gemmologist. This item is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, scrapes, dents, monograms, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some old solder on the back which was added to lock the threaded shaft to the head of the pin. A late Victorian piece of initial jewellery fashioned out of a c1893-1901 English gold sovereign coin. This pin is of 22 carat gold with a c-clasp pin and mount also in gold. It measures 7/8" across, and the beautifully hand engraved initials are MI (or MJ) in a Gothic style; the ground of the engraving is finely stippled. It weighs 7.7 grams, and it is in excellent original condition with no scrapes, dents, monograms, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. A nice Victorian 15k yellow gold horseshoe stickpin c1880-90. This 2" twist-shaft pin features a 3/8" x 3/8" satin and gloss finished horseshoe and it weighs 1.0 grams.
