A late Victorian piece of initial jewellery fashioned out of a c1893-1901 English gold sovereign coin. This pin is of 22 carat gold with a c-clasp pin and mount also in gold. It measures 7/8" across, and the beautifully hand engraved initials are MI (or MJ) in a Gothic style; the ground of the engraving is finely stippled. It weighs 7.7 grams, and it is in excellent original condition with no scrapes, dents, monograms, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. A vintage late Victorian 14k yellow gold 56" watch chain with a hand engraved slide with opal. This chain has a gold swivel, and the 1/2" x 3/8" slide has a colourful and fiery opal with bright greens, blues and orange. It has a 14K mark on one link, and it weighs an impressive 29.2 grams (approximately 1 ounce). This item is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, scrapes, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs; it has a shallow WLB monogram on the back of the slide. An unusual Victorian period gold mounted pin and earrings set in the original fitted box c1875. this set consists of the 1-3/4" x 1-1/8" pendant with unmarked 12K yellow gold fittings and the matching 7/8" x 5/8" screwback 10 carat gold earrings. Each drop is made of genuine jet with an intaglio carved amber insert. The inserts feature King Charles spaniels (we think), and the 4-1/2" x 3" case is velvet and silk lined with a brass button clasp. This set is in fair original condition with the following condition notes: the screwbacks are marked 10K and are of a more recent vintage, all three drops have some small chips to the amber, all amber has moderate to substantial interior-only crazing and cracking somewhat obscuring the intaglio design. A late 19th century 14k rose gold three-leaf shamrock or clover shaped brooch c1880, with six mine cut diamonds on the stem. This 1-1/4" x 7/8" pin has a trombone clasp and a later applied loop, possibly for a safety chain or a dangling pearl. It weighs 2.5 grams and is unmarked but has been tested for gold content.
