A nice quality example of Victorian wirework and style. This is a stamped 9k yellow gold 1-7/8 x 3/4" late Victorian brooch with a garnet and paste stones c1900. It is of stamped hollow construction, it has a c-clasp and a loop for wear as a pendant, it is stamped 9Ct, and it weighs 2.5 grams. An exquisitely carved black onyx portrait cameo mounted on a 15k yellow gold pin base with seed pearls. This c1890s 1-5/8 x 3/4" brooch has quality wirework and the carving is particularly fine; the (unmarked but tested) mount has had its pin housing replaced with a safety catch mounted to a fitted brass rod, on which the gold has been remounted. A gold plated late Victorian 16-1/8" watch chain with swivel and springring with a suspended t-bar on a 1-3/4" chain and a barrel shaped 1 x 7/16" banded agate fob mounted with 12k yellow gold ends (unmarked but tested). This octagonal facetted fob is mounted on two 7/8" gold filled chains and is attached to the main chain by a 7/8" link drop. An unusual and rare 14k yellow gold ring of a seed pearls and diamond sunburst or starburst ring c1900-10. The sunburst has 10 petals with genuine seed pearls and it has a central claw-set 8 point (measured by flat stone gauge) genuine antique European cut diamond; the shank is stamped 14K with a JIC maker's mark. I have never seen a pearl sunburst ring before in 32 years in antiques, but they most likely were made to go with the pearl lavalieres popular at the time. It is possible that this piece was produced slightly later date, but the ring shank is an appropriate one for the period, and the setting is properly mounted and appears original. This ring weighs 6.3 grams, and it is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses or damage other than some glue residue on a couple of reset pearls (an old repair, and is restorable).
