A great looking late Edwardian period brooch or pin with fancy wirework and an opal and seed pearls, fully hallmarked Chester, England 1913-14. This 1-7/8" x 5/8" pin features a central natural opal in fiery blue, green and pink, flanked by natural graduated seed pearls; it has a fancy reeded edge and applied wirework. It weighs 4.4 grams, it has a small loop for a safety chain, and it is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, scrapes, dents, monograms, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than the resoldering of the pin. An Edwardian 9 carat yellow gold brooch with two seed pearls flanking a pink stone on a simply engraved platform. The setting is embossed and it measures 1-5/8" x 5/8" and this pin has an early safety catch and a 9ct mark. It has a small compartment on the back for a lock of hair and it weighs 1.9 grams. This item is in very good condition, but please note that there is some wear to one seed pearl and a missing glass cover for the hair compartment and slight denting on the back of the pin only; the original Roman gold finish has worn somewhat at edges, showing the rose gold beneath. The stone may be a genuine ruby or rose tourmaline, however we haven't had it tested. This 1-5/8" x 1/2" pin is fully hallmarked for Chester England 1905-6 and it weighs 2.1 grams. An Victorian 9k rose gold and woven hair watch chain c1870-80. It consists of finely spiral woven hair with 9 carat rose gold mounts. It measures 8-3/4" long and 5/16" wide and it has gold loops on one end and a stamped 9ct watch swivel on the other. This unusual Victorian piece (often also referred to as mourning jewellery, except it was also worn for fashion, and was sometimes given as a love token) is in very good condition with no losses, dents, monograms, corrosion, breaks or unravelling, repairs or damage. A lovely late Edwardian period 14k yellow gold brooch with dainty robin's egg blue and white matte enamelled flowers with natural pearl centers c1910. This 1-1/2" x 1/2" pin weighs 2.8 grams, and it is in excellent condition with no repairs or damage other than that the c-clasp has been replaced with a safety catch and that one of the pearls has been reset at some point in the past. These restorations were professionally done, and don't affect the appearance and beauty of this lovely pin in any way.
