This tie pin or brooch features two horseshoes, each set with seven genuine seed pearls with a braided riding crop wound around them. This pin measures 1-3/8" x 7/16" and it weighs 2.1 grams. A 19th century beautifully made 15K gold and enamel watch chain with a photo locket fob. This gentleman's watch fob and chain consists of the 15/16" heavy and high quality hinged photo locket and the 6" enamelled link fob chain (including swivel and loops). The chain consists of oblong links with panels of turquoise enamel alternating with high relief gold work. The locket features a pair of joined heraldic shields with crown; It may have been a wedding gift to indicate the joining of two possibly aristocratic families. The wife's crest (usually the one on the left) has bees which indicate industry, and the gentleman's (possibly on the right) has a griffin or gryphon indicating valor or bravery and wheat sheaves for successful harvests, also with bees. Our limited research indicates that this type of crown indicates an English Earl or a Count from France, Germany, Spain or Russia or a Baron from Italy, Germany, Russia or the Netherlands. It has a maker's or jeweller's mark on both the chain and on the locket and both segments test as 15k gold (usually used mostly in the UK); the photo inside is c1900 and may be of the lady whose crest is on the locket. There is a stamp on the locket loop that appears to be an animal head - we could not photograph it. It weighs 23.8 grams and it is an attractive piece of heraldic jewellery well worth further research. This item is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, corrosion, repairs or damage other than some light wear to the top loop and the shields engraving and some very minor losses to the turquoise enamel. An exceptional 14k yellow gold pearl enhancer, set with a large Mabe pearl and surrounded by diamonds. Pearl enhancers are meant to hang as extensions on strings of pearls, appearing as pendants, but they work as a pendant with a chain, if you prefer that. This enhancer's pearl measures 12 mm. across and the six sinle cut diamonds are set in white gold. It weighs 3.6 grams and it has a swing-open clasp with a snap-on safety wire. An exquisite late 19th century 9K gold Victorian hair or photo locket with ornate floral engraving on one side and a traditional raised garter belt motif on one side. This c1880-90 beautifully hand engraved locket could hold either hair (which this one has) or a photo of a sweetheart; it was also used as mourning jewellery. It features fine floral and leaf engraving on one side and a slightly raised garter belt on the other; the hair is under a glass bezel. This 1-1/8" x 7/8" unmarked (but tested and guaranteed) locket weighs 7.7 grams, and it is in excellent condition with no losses, monograms, corrosion, repairs or damage other than a bit of flattening on the garter side (see photo) and some chipping of the glass window (both minor). A lovely size 6 filigree or basket weave Art Deco period ring in 14k yellow gold, with a citrene and two flanking natural baroque pearls c1915-20. The citrene is an unusual cut with a flat table and facets underneath; the ring measures 5/8" x 5-16", and the citrene measures 8mm. x 6mm. It weighs 2.1 grams and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, corrosion, repairs or damage other than that one of the pearls has been replaced and there are a few very fine surface scratches on the citrene.
