A scarce mid-Victorian 9k yellow gold bar pin with two claw-set real green scarab beetles c1870-90. Anything Egyptian was all the rage at this time, and this 2-1/4 x 5/8" brooch is typical. The beetles are real, this pin has a safety pin-style catch, it is stamped 9Ct and it weighs 3.7 grams; it has a loop for a safety chain and it is in excellent original condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than some minor losses to the head of one beetle. An impressive mid-Victorian long 14k gold necklace with ornate slide c1860-70. This superb example measures 62" long, it has a large well-made slide with black enamel, and it is constructed of double pulley-style interlinked gold loops. The 1" across and 1/4" thick slide has an engraved L. Gordon inscription on one side; it is unmarked and unsigned but tests as 14k gold. The slide has holes where a scarab or possibly a cameo was mounted (and another piece of your choice could be mounted on it), and it weighs an impressive 59.0 grams (2 ounces!). This item is in excellent original condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than the absent slide decoration. This 1-3/8" x 1-1/8" pendant features an applied gold tooled wreath inset with the orange and white enamelled crest of the HFC C.O.F. This finely engraved applique is mounted on a cross with satin finished panels. It is engraved PRESENTED TO R.D. COLLINS, C.R. ST. PETER'S COURT 695 C.O.F. 1935-1949 and it is stamped 10K. A vintage late Victorian/Edwardian period 10k yellow gold ring, set with two opals and an amethyst c1900. This elegant size 5 ring features two well-matched oval natural claw-set opals flanking a fine medium purple natural facetted amethyst. The opals have great blue and green fire with an orange translucence and impressive depth; the ring measures 5/8" x 3/16" across the stones and it weighs 2.7 grams. It is stamped only S (but tests as 10k) as it appears to have been sized down at some point in the past.
