A lovely late Victorian 2" x 1-1/2" brooch in 10k yellow gold c1880. This pin features a 5/8" x 1/2" hand cut facetted stone (a white sapphire or possibly a spinel); it is unsigned and it has the original c-clasp. It has a loop for pendant wear, and it weighs 6.4 grams; it is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. A Victorian 15k diamond hair brooch circa 1870. This great example of Victorian period sentimental or mourning hair jewellery is in 15k yellow gold with a centrally set genuine 12 pt. rose cut diamond and a compartment on the back containing a curl of blonde hair with a silk cord. The brooch is unmarked but tested and is guaranteed to be gold, and the diamond has been checked with a gemologist. The hair compartment on this 1-7/8" x 1-1/8" pin has the original bevelled glass, and this pin weighs 9.2 grams. The original c-clasp is still present, and it has a small loop for a safety chain (not present).
