A gold plated saphiret tassels necklace from the 1930s. This superb and vintage (unsigned) gold plated brass necklace has large dramatic tassels with saphiret (or sapphiret) glass stones. This 15-1/2" gold plated brass necklace has a spring-ring clasp and it has five graduated chain and bell tassels suspended from it. The largest tassel measures 3-1/2" long and 1" across the bell; each individual tassel chain ends in a sapphiret glass stone. The farthest left and right tassels have 9 suspended chains and stones, the 2nd and 4th tassel have 11 chains and suspended stones, and the center tassel has 18 chains and suspended stones. There is also a sapphiret at the top of each tassel canopy. This item is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, losses, damage or repairs other than a bit of gold wear at the clasp and some minor corrosion on some of the chain. A splendid 17-1/2" carved and lathe turned bakelite necklace c1920s-30s. This necklace consists of turned and hand-carved bakelite beads in oval, round and barrel forms; the colours include off-white, swirled tan, 2 colour pale green and brown. Most beads have variable colour layers and stripes, and the between triple disc striped spacers are all one piece. This unsigned necklace has the original brass barrel clasp and it ranges from 3/16" to 3/4" wide. This item is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs. A 1950s vintage, high quality Christian Dior necklace and matching earrings signed and dated Christian Dior 1958 and 1959. This set includes the 14-3/4" triple strand choker necklace and the 1-5/8" x 1-1/8" clip-on rhinestone & crystal matching earrings. Each section of the necklace has graduated round facetted crystal beads in smoky topaz and cinnamon brown, with green, brown, black, white and gold speckled glass beads and taupe marble celluloid beads. The necklace has claw-set cinnamon brown and light topaz rhinestone clusters linking the strands in an openwork effect, and the earrings are the same configuration and colour of rhinestones, and the earrings have five cinnamon crystal hanging drops. The necklace has a spring-ring catch with the 1958 CHRISTIAN DIOR metal tag; the earrings have the CHR DIOR 1959 planchette with GERMANY on the backs and a conjoined HR mark in a circle on the back of the clip, and both the necklace and earrings have silver or white metal mounts. The celluloid is a pale yellow with blue staining, the royal blue wood balls are suspended from brass hooks and the clasp is a gold-plated brass. A Regency period rolled gold plate mourning locket with enamel c1835. This 1-5/16" locket features an engine turned design on each side, a watch-style bale for hanging from a chain, pin or chatelaine, and it has a removable central compartment for hair or a memento. The front is hinged and swings out to reveal the contents, which are under bevelled glass (a curl of brown hair and woven black fabric). It has a hand-engraved dedication saying: "IN MEMORY OF Margaret Maclachlin Jane Magregor Died 1839. Dugalt Maclachlin Died 21st April 1849." This pendant has blue enamelling, and it is in very good original condition with no dents, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some shallow denting to the panels, some tiny enamel losses and the smashing of the glass insert. A truly unusual late Victorian rolled gold plate swing-open photo or hair locket brooch c1900. This 1-3/8" diameter pin features a twist border and a bevelled glass window; it has a c-clasp and the back is hinged, opening to reveal a bezel holding the glass. A Victorian jet bracelet with carving circa 1870-80. This genuine (tested) jet carved bracelet is in the Aesthetic style. It has elastic cord threading (re-strung)and it has a staggered orientation of the band's panels (possibly strung differently originally). The 1" across top panel and two flanking panels both have decorative carving, the rest are plain polished. This item is in fair vintage condition with the following issues: chipping to the thread mounting holes on the back of the center panel, some small edge chips to the bottom corners of the side panels, some tiny edge flakes and chips on the front edges of the side panels and one one other panel and a cracked side panel (the crack is tight and is held together by the elastic, and it can be glued if you wish). A retro Halbe rhinestone floral spray brooch with gold plating circa 1960. Halbe was an American firm, located at 411-5th Ave. New York circa 1950-1963 (thank you to Illusion Jewels for the information and a great research site). This 2-3/8" x 1-1/8" elegant brooch has baguette and round rhinestones; the pin is rhodium plated on back but the centers of the flowers, stems and bottom of spray are gold plated on the front. A beautiful late Edwardian period vintage rhodium plated sautoir with facetted amethyst crystals c1915-20. The central drop is 3/4" wide and 3" long, and the loop chain is 15-1/4" (including the replacement sterling silver springring catch).
