A truly unusual late Victorian table decoration. This is a 9-3/4" x 5-1/2" silver plated centerpiece or serving dish c1880s with a detailed applied lobster figure affixed to the upper rim; the interior incongruously has a finely embossed grouping of cherry branches, leaves, flowers and fruits. The finish on the exterior is satin, it has four fancy ball feet, and it is marked with the Wilcox Silver Plate Co. mark with a 2352 pattern mark. This bowl is perfect for your lobster and cherries dessert. This item is in superb mint original condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs - the plating is completely intact without scrapes or losses of any kind, and this dish must have lived in storage or a cabinet for 120 years. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use. Surface shipping to the continental U.S. starts at $6 (other spots may vary) - insured is higher, and mandatory on items over $85 if paid with a credit card. Items paid with a credit card will be shipped to confirmed addresses only. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US. NOTE: we do not accept PayPal.

A vintage heavy and fine quality set of sterling flatware for 12 in the International Prelude pattern, including serving pieces and a double solid wood flatware chest with drawer. The 101 pieces include 12 each of:
-8-7/8" knives -7-3/8" forks -6-5/8" salad forks -6-5/8" cream soup spoons -6" teaspoons -5-1/2" five o'clock spoons -4-1/8" demitasse spoons
- plus ten 5-7/8" flat handle solid butter spreaders, two 5-3/4" step-handle solid butter knives/spreaders, one 6-1/4" hollow handle cheese server, one 5-3/4" pickle fork, one 8-1/2" serving spoon, a 6-3/4" gravy ladle and the 5-7/8" sugar shell. This set is in excellent original condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs, it has been well kept and well stored, and does not appear to have been used very often. We photographed the silver before polishing it, as it is easier to photograph, but it will be polished before shipping to the winning bidder. The double flatware chest (top opens and has drawer beneath) is a vintage solid wood chest, approximately 50-55 years old. The chest is in very good intact condition but there is a spot of wear to the finish at the handle and it has a few scuffs. Overall it has a good appearance and the interior cloth is intact also. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use. Surface shipping to the continental U.S. starts at $25 (other spots may vary) - insured is higher, and mandatory on items over $85 if paid with a credit card. Items paid with a credit card will be shipped to confirmed addresses only. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US. NOTE: we do not accept PayPal.
