A beautiful vintage embroidered silk/linen evening gown, with a matching evening wrap or cape c1930. It has the typical late 1920s-early 1930s multi-panel bias cut construction, with a deep rounded peter pan collar. The fabric, which is a lovely peach-orange shade, was embroidered in a silk in a simple stitch in varying soft jade green shades, teal, with a touch of cream and red for the flowers. The dress has been cut and sewn to keep the front panel of flower direction consistent, with a diagonally sewn panel. The collar and cape or wrap are trimmed with a jade green satin. The dress measures is 64" in length from the shoulder to the floor. The under the arm/bust measurement is 43". It is a bit more difficult to figure the waist or hip measurement, as this is a floating panel design gown, but where my guess of where the hip measurement is would be 44", so I would estimate this as a current size 12 or 14 (unless you shop at a vanity sizing store...). Included is the original matching shoulder wrap, with a collar that extends to ties (can make a bow with it). This lovely period gown is in excellent condition with no staining, losses, tears, holes, repairs or damage, and it is completely wearable. It appears a dense fabric, but is actually woven so it is very light weight, and will "breathe" very nicely in warm weather. Surface shipping is $8 (to the US - other spots may vary) - insured is higher. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US.
