An Victorian pair of hand-embroidered cotton bloomers c1880-90. These undergarments measure 30" at the waist or 24-1/2" unextended (they have two extensions for sizing with cotton loops and bone buttons); they measure 24" long. The beautifully hand-embroidered lower edge has openwork and floral decoration beneath a lined design; they are in excellent original condition with no rips, stains, losses, damage or repairs. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use. A lovely ornate gilt bronze late Regency 2-5/8" x 1-1/4" belt buckle c1830-40. This unsigned buckle has a swing back and spiked central rod, and it is in excellent condition with no dents, corrosion, repairs or damage other than the loss of some of the gilding on the high points of the deeply embossed design.
