$110

An attractive Victorian period china jardiniere, c1880s. It has a repeating somewhat Art Nouveau floral motif, the flowers look a bit like poppies or anemones, all in blue transferware with occasional splashes of gold. It measures 5-3/4" in height and the opening measures just over 5" across (opening only, does not include the wavy rim). Although it is unmarked, which happened more frequently before 1891, it is most probably English in origin. Except for some minor wear in a few spots to the gilding, it is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, staining, losses, damage or repairs. $160

An attractive 9" pewter-lidded salt glazed stoneware ewer or pitcher in the Argyle pattern, made by Dudson, England in 1865. This ewer has a nicely molded columnar pattern in white with brown, blue and green grounds. The pewter lid with thumbrest is mounted with rivets, and this piece has the British diamond registration mark for December 3, 1865. This item is in superb original condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, dents, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some loss of patina and a crease at the lip of the lid from a bend being straightened sometime in the past. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use. $145

An attractive unsigned late 19th century English ceramic 12-1/2" double-handled mantle vase c1880s. The handles are painted in a rich matte gold. The pictures turned out a little dark (in our viewer, anyway) - the cobalt blue is a true cobalt colour, and not blue-black. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use. Surface shipping to the continental U.S. starts at $16 (other spots may vary) - insured is higher, and mandatory on items over $85 if paid with a credit card.
