An unusual and ornate Niagara Falls souvenir c1890s. This is a German porcelain handopainted 7-3/4" tall cocoa pot with an applied transfer scene of Niagara Falls. The scene shows the original Maid Of The Mist approaching the dock with the Falls in the background; this pot has ornate modelling on the handle and body with a fancy lid. It is lushly accented in gold and it has the circular red MADE IN GERMANY mark. This decorative souvenir is in excellent original condition with no crazing, losses, damage or repairs other than two tight overglazed hairlines on the interior rim (not showing on the exterior) and two small shallow chips on the bottom rim (not showing when on display). A beautifully hand painted 19th century English bone china 2-1/2" high cup and matching 5-3/4" saucer in the Imari orange, gold and cobalt palette. Made by Davenport, these cups bear the crowned DAVENPORT LONGPORT STAFFORDSHIRE mark (1870-87) with the 2614 pattern number. An exceptional artist signed hand painted French Sevres porcelain cabinet or display plate c1840. This 9-5/8" plate features lush gilding, a scalloped edge with high relief gilt vines with a pink ground and a beautiful signed central portrait of a young lady picking flowers. The plate has the genuine three part Sevres marks, which include the Louis Phillippe 1844 mark, the Chateau de Tuileries wreath and the S. 37 in lozenge year date, indicating the blank was made in 1837 and painted in 1844. The portrait is signed F. Amblet, and this fine example of vintage French porcelain is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, losses, damage or repairs other than a very slight touch of wear to the gold on the ribs where they enter the painted scene. This unmarked bowl was purchased in Quebec as a Dion example c1970, and it has the typical Dion gray and brown speckled glaze and patterned upper rim.
