A rare English Prattware commemorative cream or milk jug c1798-1806, which we believe was issued to commemorate either the Battle of the Nile (a significant English military battle of 1798) or the battle of Trafalgar (1805), a most significant English military battle still commemorated today in England on Trafalgar Day. This 5-3/8" tall jug has stylized portraits of Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson and Captain Edward Berry with orange, brown, cobalt and green glazes on the high-relief modelling. Prattware is not often found in perfect condition, and this piece is not, either. This jug is unrestored except for a primitive and early reattachment of the bottom of the handle. There is some interior browning and staining, some overall crazing and some exterior browning on the spout. The bottom of the handle is missing and the bottom third has been crudely cemented in place. This jug is well worth having professionally restored, and it is a seldom seen English historic commemorative. It is in fair unrestored condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or damage other than stated above. Shipping is $12 to the US, insured is higher. We ship internationally, and all prices are in $US. Please note that we do not accept Paypal.

A vintage ornate sterling late Victorian natural bristle clothes brush c1895. This (probably) American piece is marked STERLING only and it is in very good condition, with no bends, corrosion, repairs or damage other than a J.E.G. script monogram and some tiny dents around the edge of the top where it meets the edge of the wood and a shallow surface dent where the monogram is located. A large and heavy 8-1/2" Georgian Dublin sterling silver dinner fork, hallmarked for 1829. This heavy fork has an attractive double dolphin crest on the back of the handle and has the maker's mark for Matthew West and Peter Moore. Antique Irish silver is far scarcer than English, and this fork is a great find. This item is in excellent condition, with no dents, bends, monograms, wear, scratches, corrosion, repairs or damage other than some very light scoring on the extreme bottom ends of the tines from use. Otherwise this fork is in unusually excellent condition. Please note that our photos are taken before these items are polished to enhance detail; they will appear better than our scans and will be shipped to you cleaned and polished. They are strictly graded and any defects and wear other than the expected signs of gentle use are noted. Surface tracked shipping starts at $20 (to the US - other spots may vary) - insurance/tracking included in shipping quotes. All of our prices are in $US. We do ship internationally. PLEASE NOTE: We DO NOT ACCEPT PAYPAL.
