A signed hand painted miniature landscape painting porcelain sterling brooch or pin dated 1917. This well executed 2-1/4 x 1-5/8" brooch features a landscape scene with a central cow, a river with trees and hills; it is mounted in an unmarked but tested sterling silver bezel with a c-clasp. There are two copper retaining tabs holding the porcelain plaque which is signed AV.K. XANIA 1919. in orange paint. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks,crazing, losses, damage or repairs. A signed Sherman white rhinestone necklace from the 1950s. This 15-1/2" necklace has two 1-1/4" drops, and it is signed on the snap-over clasp. A striking vintage Mexican sterling pendant set with a mixture of inlaid lapis and malachite, with a large cabochon cut tiger eye gem in the centre c1950-60. Two of the dangling pendants are also inlaid with lapis and malachite, and the centre dangle is solid silver. The pendant alone measures 3-3/4" x 2-1/8", and weighs 26.2 grams. It is stamped STERLING 925 with the eagle mark with a 2 in the centre, and the initials MR. There was a silversmith named Melecio Rodriguez who worked at the Rancho Alegre and for Margot de Taxco, but I can't verify if this is his work or not. It comes with a 18-1/2" sterling heavy link chain (weighs 16.7 grams, not Mexican manufacture). It is in very good condition, but please note than there is 1/8" piece missing from the second inlaid drop of the pendant. Otherwise it is in lovely condition, no breaks, wear, repairs or damage.
