A Royal Doulton Pixies D3690 series ware baby or child's bowl circa 1920s. This seldom seen 7-1/2" across ceramic seriesware design shows three green and yellow garbed pixies holding Chinese lanterns. It has the black Royal Doulton England mark with the D 3690 hand painted number. It is in fair condition with no cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than a 5/8" chip to the upper rim and some allover crazing. it was introduced in 1913 and was discontinued by 1929 or 1930. The stone is measured in setting, so approximate. The openwork is attractive and the shoulder/sides are also ornate. It measures 1/4" x 1/4" across the setting surface. A Canton enamel squash blossom jewel or trinket box from the 1880s 1890s. This lovely and large Chinese enamel on metal box measures 4-1/2 x 3-1/2" and it stands 2-3/4" high on its foot rim. It is nicely worked with a fine life-like appearance and the hand applied enamel is in yellow, green and blue. The interior is light blue as is the underside. It is (obscurely) marked CHINA on the bottom and it is in excellent condition with no chips, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs however it does have some small black firing marks and pits along with a couple of small surface losses to the enamel. An exceptional Victorian Tunbridge Ware trinket or dresser box circa 1850s. Tunbridgeware was made as souvenir ware in England and Scotland. It consists of tiny inlaid exotic wood tesserae in geometric designs. This 4-3/8 x 4-1/4" and 1-3/4" high example has a repeating floral pattern on the top, a Greek key design on the sides and a bird's eye maple ground. The lid appears to be rosewood and the box is quite heavy. It retains the original colours which include green, yellow, red and gold and the workmanship is superb. It is in remarkable intact condition with no fading, chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than a bit of warping to the lid. The hinges are intact and our pictures don't even come close to showing the fine detail of this folk art box. Modernist sterling silver and tiger eye ring circa 1970s from the workshop of Kultaseppä Salovaara Ky of Finland. This vintage sculptural design ring epitomizes clean restrained Finnish style.
