A rare early Wedgwood tri-colour miniature jasper cameo pin circa 1790 1800. This English Georgian period 2-1/4" x 1-1/4" tri-color jasperware brooch consists of a Wedgwood miniature plaque mounted in a (later) sterling silver setting. The jasper ware cameo dates to approximately 1780-1800, and this beautiful miniature has a very light blue, white and royal blue edge classical scene of a sacrifice to the gods of classic mythology. This exact cameo appears in the top of a patch box in the 1953 Wedgwood book by Wolf Mankowitz, dated to circa 1785 (plate 97). These miniature Wedgwood jaspers were often mounted in the cut steel jewellery popular in the Georgian period, or were sometimes set into the top of boxes, but were also sold unmounted. The mounting for this pin is sterling silver, with a modern period wheel catch, so it would have been set in the sterling setting at a later date. It is impressed WEDGWOOD with a small cross mark, a deep and not perfectly evenly lettered mark as should be expected in a piece of this age. The pin is stamped STERLING and it has a safety catch. A Staffordshire figurine of a goatherd girl on a goat circa 1930 1850. This antique English figure dates to the early to mid quarter of the 19thC. She is hand painted painted fully on front, sides and back. 1830s -1860. It is a fine looking and well painted example reflecting the 19th century Victorian romanticism about farm and rural life with the advancing age of industrialism. People who lived on farms at the time would have found the concept of a girl riding a goat after gathering a basket of fruit possibly a little odd or possibly amusing. Meissen produced a pair of figurines of a tailor and his wife riding goats in the 18thC - possibly this figure was inspired by that. It measures 7 1/2" in height and is 5 1/2" at the widest. It is in mostly excellent condition except for one detail - the tip of the girl's foot is chipped. Other than that, it is in exceptional shape - no cracks, crazing or repairs, and the paint in in excellent shape. There is a firing crack on the back of the girl's neck, but it is original to the manufacture of the piece, and does not detract.We haven't been able as yet to find which English Staffordshire maker produced this. A 19th century Staffordshire flat back china cottage 1850-60s. It is the flat back type, and measures 4 1/4" high and 3 7/16" across. The colouration is simple - yellow ochre and rust-brown. It is overall in excellent condition for its age except for a small chip on the chimney and wear to the painted decoration. The bocage around the roof eaves is in excellent shape (very minor loss, not noticeable) and no cracks, crazing, staining or repairs. Cottages are hard to find, and this is a nice example. A vintage c1910-20 facetted graduated genuine rock crystal 17-1/4" long necklace. This necklace has rock crystal beads ranging from 3/16 to 9/16", it has a vintage sterling silver pearl strand-type clasp and the first three beads are knotted at the clasp ends. A small selection of sterling silver spoons in the Versailles flatware pattern, introduced by Gorham in 1888. The 6" teaspoon has an M monogram on the back of the handles and they are stamped with the Lion Anchor G mark plus STERLING COPYWRITED; they weigh 32.1 grams each. A c1900 swing-out lorgnette eyeglasses on a handle in heavy rolled gold plate. These folding spectacles measure 4-1/2" long and the lenses are 1-1/2" across. They open on a spring triggered by pushing down the ringed collar near the ribbon loop on the end of the handle; they have an unidentified maker's mark, and the mechanism works perfectly and the lenses are unscratched. A Vict. gf watch chain with a 12k banded agate fob. This gold plated late Victorian period 16-1/8" watch chain has a 12K gold and agate fob and it dates to the 1890s. It has a swivel and spring-ring, with a suspended t-bar on a 1-3/4" chain. It has a barrel shaped 1" x 7/16" genuine banded agate fob mounted with 12k yellow gold ends (unmarked but tested). This octagonal facetted stone fob is mounted on two 7/8" gold filled chains and is attached to the main chain by a 7/8" link drop. This chain is finer an more delicate than the usual, and would make a great necklace. A splendid 17-1/2" carved and lathe turned bakelite necklace c1920s-30s. This necklace consists of turned and hand-carved bakelite beads in oval, round and barrel forms; the colours include off-white, swirled tan, 2 colour pale green and brown. Most beads have variable colour layers and stripes, and the between triple disc striped spacers are all one piece. A gold plated saphiret tassels necklace from the 1930s. This superb and vintage (unsigned) gold plated brass necklace has large dramatic tassels with saphiret (or sapphiret) glass stones. This 15-1/2" gold plated brass necklace has a spring-ring clasp and it has five graduated chain and bell tassels suspended from it. The largest tassel measures 3-1/2" long and 1" across the bell; each individual tassel chain ends in a sapphiret glass stone. The farthest left and right tassels have 9 suspended chains and stones, the 2nd and 4th tassel have 11 chains and suspended stones, and the center tassel has 18 chains and suspended stones. There is also a sapphiret at the top of each tassel canopy. A vintage c1910 top-hinged photo locket fob pendant in 14k yellow gold with an inset genuine antique European cut 12 point (by gauge) diamond. The back has an inscription stating: "PRESENTED TO T.A. EATON BY MEMBERS OF PASSENGER DEPT G.T.R. MARCH 1910", and it has a 14K gold mark. The famous Timothy Eaton family of Toronto were involved with the Grand Trunk Railroad at this time - it is most likely that T.A. Eaton was Thomas Alden Eaton, son of James Eaton and nephew of Timothy Eaton. He served and died in WWI and is buried in France. This locket has a photo of a military-clad man on the inside, it weighs 12.4 grams, and it is in excellent original condition with no bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some shallow dents to each side.
