A 14k jadite or jadeite bangle bracelet from the 1930s. This exceptional vintage round yellow gold and genuine natural jadeite bracelet features hand engraved gold encasing or wrapping around the light green mottled jade. Unlike many examples this one has continuous gold around the interior and six wraps around the jade hoop. It measures 2-3/8" across the interior wall (inside of bangle measurement) and is 5/16" wide or thick. It has a box clasp with a heart shaped button and a safety chain. It is stamped 585 and 14K on the tongue of the clasp and the hinge is tightly made so as not to show unless it is opened. This beauty could be older than the 1930s and it weighs 26.5 grams. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. This vintage size 7-1/4 or size 7.25 ring features one 15 point round brilliant cut diamond (SI-2, G-H colour) along with sixteen round brilliant cut diamonds (total 50 point, SI2-I1, G-H colour). It weighs 5.4 grams and it has a recent independent conservative gemological appraisal in the amount of $2400 Canadian (~$1850US). A Charles Dana Gibson THE WEAKER SEX ink sketch study. We are proud to offer this original preliminary ink sketch by the famed American illustrator Charles Dana Gibson (1867-1944), the creator of the Gibson Girl. He first came to eminence as the foremost magazine illustrator of his time in the late 19th century, later in life he turned completely to painting. His long and illustrious career takes more room than alloted here to discuss, and is well covered elsewhere on the Internet. This item is a 22" x 15-1/2" preliminary ink study on paper of his "The Weaker Sex" illustration. The hair is done in characteristic fashion but the inking is more simplistic, and the magnifying glass is not as finely detailed as in the final work, which in the final version has a fourth woman in the upper right hand corner. His signature (Charles Gibson) is visible in the shadow area beneath the arm of the woman holding the magnifying glass. On the back of the drawing No. 84 and Mrs (or Miss) Drew is written in pencil. Besides the fact that he apparently was working out the details of the shadows under the arm, he most likely deliberately drew lines over the signature as this piece does not have the perfection of his finished work. The paper is a slightly heavy thickness of sketch pad paper; it is framed in a black-painted wood frame with gilding (minor paint spots and a couple of dings to the frame). Some notes on condition: there are some creases, a tear in the upper left, a few scratches to the paper surface, some brown foxing and some spotting and a water stain on the right hand side. A rarity and an interesting example of a great work in progress. This item is in very good original condition with the condition issued noted above. A superb and top quality example of Austro-Hungarian glassmaking at its finest. This is a set of six shell shaped cranberry glass nut dishes c1900 with crisp molding and lush encrusted gold decoration. Attributed to Moser, this set is certainly of the expected quality but we can't definitively confirm this. The set consists of the deep 9-1/2" long and 7-1/8" wide master nut bowl as well as five matching 4-1/2" long and 3-3/8" wide individual nut bowls. The allover hand applied gold decoration is superb and it appears on the outer surfaces as well as on the interior. We have seen only a couple of examples of the smaller dishes only, never the full size master nut dish, and seldom in cranberry and rarely with such ornate decoration. A true prize for any serious collection of Moser or European art glass. This unsigned set appears unused, even after 110 years, and it is in stellar original condition with no cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than a 1/16" across flake to the edge of one of the individual dish's edges and the expected minor irregularities expected on hand-painted and hand-finished art glass. A rare, early English flow blue three piece soup tureen c1850-60. This tureen stands 11" high with the lid, and the matching, fitted underplate measures 14-3/4" x 13". It has a floral style motif, and it has an impressed S as well as a pseudo Chinese mark, minor variants of which were used by Charles Meigh (1835-49), Charles Meigh & Son (1851-61) and also Job Meigh (c1805-34), all of Hanley, Staffordshire; we feel it dates from c1850-60 but it could possibly be of earlier manufacture. This item is in excellent original condition with no chips, losses, damage or repairs other than a tight 1-3/4" craze-like hairline near the lid's finial, some overall crazing, a few scattered craze lines to the bowl. The bezel-set opals are high quality and have magnificent colour play with fiery reds, blues and greens, and they total approximately 1.50 carats, and the diamond is 5 points (VS2, F-G color). The the gold modernist design pendant has a textured surface and there is an integrated loop on the back. A 18k white gold emerald and diamonds ring circa 1960s. Measuring 9/16" across the setting, this vintage size 7-1/4 or 7.25 abstract cluster ring features a 1.2 ct. oval genuine emerald (dark tone, bluish green, medium cut) with a 12 pt diamond and eight other diamonds (32 points total) all in VS-SI clarity and G-H colour. The emerald is visibly included, but is the most beautiful deep blue green colour. This ring weighs 3.8 grams and it has an independent gemological appraisal for $2000 (Canadian) from 2012. A vintage c1910 top-hinged photo locket fob pendant in 14k yellow gold with an inset genuine antique European cut 12 point (by gauge) diamond. The back has an inscription stating: "PRESENTED TO T.A. EATON BY MEMBERS OF PASSENGER DEPT G.T.R. MARCH 1910", and it has a 14K gold mark. The famous Timothy Eaton family of Toronto were involved with the Grand Trunk Railroad at this time - it is most likely that T.A. Eaton was Thomas Alden Eaton, son of James Eaton and nephew of Timothy Eaton. He served and died in WWI and is buried in France. This locket has a photo of a military-clad man on the inside, it weighs 12.4 grams, and it is in excellent original condition with no bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some shallow dents to each side. A Franck L. Paris France oil on panel painting dated 1969. An excellent example of 1960s French Modernism, this painting is by the renowned painter Franck.L. and is an early work by this respected artist who is still producing. Born in 1944, he started exhibiting in 1966 and his works have been shown at the Musee d’Art Moderne in Paris. This work is an untitled still life and it was purchased for a London, Ontario home in 1969. It comes with a contemporary linen-bordered 25 x 19" gilt wood frame and the sight size is 20-1/2 x 14-1/2". It is in good condition with a few areas of craquelure with some scattered areas of lost small paint flakes and a diagonal crease with paint loss near the left hand margin however the thinly applied paint wash also has areas showing small areas of plain panel as well which appear to be integral to the original artist's intent. We are selling it in unrestored condition as it was found in the home. An 18k yellow gold double swirl modern design ring. This size 6-1/2 or 6.5 crossover style ring weighs an impressive 8.58 grams. It measures 7/8 x 7/8" across the setting which has deeply grooved shell or swirl like crossover sections (or conchiglie, or shell pasta, if you are so inclined). This is a heavy, substantial ring and it is unmarked, probably because of the addition of two sizing beads which may have obscured the hallmarks. It is currently around a size 6-1/2; each bead stands 1/4" above of the band. It tests as 18k gold and it is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs.

A Victorian 18K gentleman's chrysoprase signet seal ring, fully hallmarked for London, England 1860 1861. This antique size 5-1/2 or 5.5yellow gold ring has an inset green stone which measures 1/2" x 3/8" .
