A truly unusual Victorian pink rolled gold plate watch fob chain, with a horse, jockey and horseshoe pendant c1880. This 6-3/8" x 1-1/4" fob has purple glass inlaid into the chain links (both sides visible) and the horseshoe (inlaid, closed-back). It has a swivel-style end and it is unsigned; it is in very good original condition with no chips, dents, bends, losses, damage or repairs other than stress cracks in 8 inlaid glass pieces (visible only when closely examined), a couple of cracks to the horseshoe glass, and some surface corrosion and greening. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use. A vintage World War II era pair of gilt sterling screwback sweetheart earrings with the enamelled crest of the Royal Canadian Air Force. A vintage Art Deco era rhodium plated rhinestone choker c1925-30. This 14" necklace consists of 3/8" wide plated segments each holding two square cut claw-set rhinestones; it has a snapover catch and although unsigned it is probably French or German. The stones are bright and sparkle beautifully, and the rhodium plating has the soft platinum look found on vintage pieces. An unusual and early gilt metal or pinchbeck late Regency / early Victorian brooch, c1830-40. It is a large brooch, measuring 3 1/8" in length and is 1 1/4" long, and is 3/4" deep. The round bead swag chain and drop are free swinging. It is in excellent condition with the original extending pin, and has no damage or replacements. There are two pin prick sized dents on the back, very shallow and small and not visible from the front. A late Victorian period unsigned framed watercolour on paper depicting a child. This piece of early memorial folk art was possibly made by a family member as a reminder of a deceased child, with typical muted colours and austere pose. This Victorian memorial picture is a lovingly made piece, with a hand-cut deep red velvet mat, a gilt paper mount from a photo-album page and a black and gilt frame with applied coptic-style crosses in each corner. The image measures 5-1/2" x 4" (sight size), the frame is 14 x 12", and it has a unique back closure - a cut wood ruler screwed to the frame with brass screws (later addition, and removeable). It retains its original black backing paper and glass, and this unsigned piece of Victorian folk art is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs. An attractive pair of 7-5/8" Royal Doulton stoneware vases c1905 with fine gold and enamelled decoration. These vases have a pale yellow interior and ground, with olive green necks and feet. The colours included turquoise, light blue, white and gold; each has the Doulton mark with various impressed marks (mostly obscured). They have a number X6214F with an artists cypher; they are in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than some light crazing. A fine quality, fully handpainted English bone china covered oval entree dish dated 1907. Made by Royal Crown Derby in the 6452 pattern, this 11-1/4 x 7-3/4" serving dish has a cobalt band, lush gold painting including a grape vine motif and white enamel jewelling. It is marked on both pieces with the orange ROYAL CROWN DERBY ENGLAND 6452 mark, the M year letter (for 1907) and an underglaze stamped DERBY 6-07. This item is in very good original condition with no cracks, crazing, dents, damage or repairs other than a 3/16" chip to the base's edge (see picture).
